Welcome

On behalf of our churches and Churchwardens, may we welcome you to our website.

We are a group of eight church communities on the edge of Dartmoor, each of which is at the heart of a vibrant town or village. We have an enormously long tradition of faithful Christian witness and Worship. We and visitors to our churches relish their historic beauty, but also find a warmth and welcome open to everyone. Places where you can explore or deepen faith.

If you are seeking to be married, or to organise a baptism, we will do our best to arrange this. The first step is to contact either a Churchwarden on the "Our Churches" pages, or a member of the Ministry Team on the "Contact Us" page

If you are a visitor, then many of our churches are open all day, every day. See the individual churches in the menu above.

You are welcome to visit our churches whenever they are open, and to join us at any of our services.

Mission & Family Development Worker - Ashburton and Moorland Team

We are delighted to announce that Heidi Lewis has been appointed as our Mission & Family Development Worker.

Heidi is a highly qualified teacher with particular interest in music and the performing arts.  Whilst teaching, she has been working closely with the parish church clergy team, actively promoting the Christian Ethos of church schools and developing the All-Age Worship service.  She has lived and worked within the local area for the past twenty years and is aware of many of the social issues prevalent in rural communities.

Heidi says of herself “I greatly appreciate the significant role that a sense of community and fellowship has in building people’s faith and understanding of God.  Increasingly, I believe I am being called to work with families and whole communities.”

We look forward to welcoming Heidi as a very valuable member of our team.
